      Go here.

Only time I've seen BBQ lamb ribs on a menu. Sorry, no pics of my plate because the lighting was dim.

I had a look at the restaurant's web site. In addition to their great looking menu, I found a PDF with some very helpful information about handling and reheating their frozen foods (same principles should apply to OUR frozen foods) & some interesting recipes that should be adaptable to OUR BBQ leftovers.

        Good stuff!

Three years ago at this week at Backyard Bayou in Union City California. Cajun restaurant where you dump your food right on the table. The seafood came in the empty plastic bag on the table.

I stopped at a Loews next door for something and saw these. Definitely not needed in Florida!

Nothing really, just eating the scraps from the salad bar. That is what you get when you are late for lunch.

Today Page Field had a lunch for all the airport tenants. I walked around the corner of the old terminal building and saw this:

          Pretty good turnout.

On the way back stopped by an industrial supply company to look at something. One of the guys there said, "Go out back, Makita has their road show truck there, and the Hooters Girls bought wings."

OKAY, I guess I was hungry. I ate lunch today in the fridge. Basically, I was full before I got back out.

Corkscrew BBQ is always rated in the top 25 of Texas Monthly's Best and easily in the top 5 here in Houston. Located in Old Town Spring, a trendy old town like shopping area in a Houston suburb, it's another example of an accolade of Aaron Franklin who's doing his own thing here, Hill Country style.

Got brisket (moist from the point) and Durock pork ribs along with sides. The ribs were really well cooked with a bite through finish, could have used some additional seasoning so for that reason I gave them a A-. As for the brisket, easily world class. Bark was peppery/salty, meat perfectly rendered and tender enough to cut with a plastic fork. Easily a sold A, right up there with the best I've had. If you get a chance, go visit these guys. Houston is definitely got their act together and is challenging cue anywhere in the State of Texas !!!

Wow, ain't none yall et some lunch since late December?

Me, I jus couldn't do that...

One of my bosses is leavin, to pursue other career opportunities, so we had yet another big ol potluck lunch at work...

This round, it was tacos time...Mexican food is easily as high on my list as BBQ, an I eat it every bit as often...

Same can be said fer Cajun, or Creole food!

Anyhoo, I actually got to sit down, at my desk, an eat a meal...

This here is jus my first plate:

Fer perspective, that there is a 12" dinner plate, an nearly 1.5" deep.
Also, there is nuthin underneath that soft taco!

Let's take a closer look, shall we, kiddies?

Up front, R. Beale's taco meat, back yonder my boss D. Alvarez's taco meat, with black beans...both stellar!

(There was 9 lbs taco meat, ~25 eatin...)

Scant few tortilla chips under th former, topped with my pintos, an both meats doused a bit with some El Zarape's Hot salsa that J. Barton brought in, it wasnt bad. First time I've tried it, even though it's from out west of me, here in th Territory.
Threw me some diced onions, an fresh grated cheese on top, fer nutritional balance! Oops, almost fergot, there's some sliced jalapeños on there, as well...

See? What'd I tell yall? Th vitamins, an such practically leap outta all yall's monitors, huh?

By now, though, yall most likely have figgered out that th 'sides' were merely a diversionary tactic, to keep yall th Hail way far away away from my soft taco, huh?
(Oh well, it worked good, while it lasted! )

What was inside th taco? What???
              Oh, my...wait one, over.

Despite what Brother Jack jus told me... , I think yall CAN handle it, so after a lengthy shoutin match, I gave him a partial jar of shine, an a 714, an sent him out to play in our ongoin 3-6 in snowfall, currently in progress...
(Now, don't yall fret, none; I'll drag him into th dang ol garage, afore I go to bed.

Dang, Bones! You’re makin’ me ashamed about the handful of raw almonds I had for lunch. The glass of wine was good, though. Gotta love this retirement thing ... 😎 ...

I had a hankering for Indian food.
Family will not eat it so I snuck off to Rice and Spice in Overland Park, KS for the noon buffet.
Goat Curry there is AWESOME!!! And I always overdo the Carrot Halwa and Kheer for desert.

                  Bumpin this ol topic...

Week ago, Friday, my 'Lectric Shop had a mandatory 'Lunch n Learn', with catered food.

Wasn't too half bad; moist, at least, albeit lil smoke on th meat. Beans was th star, this time out.

Cartwright's deli in Grants Pass OR. Brisket sandwich. It doesn't look as good as that BBQ you posted, but it really was delicious - VERY tender and moist. I had sauce on the side and I like just dripping perfect amount on each bite. I didn't take a pic, but here is link to pic on Yelp. Overall, the sandwiches at Cartwright's are large and very good. Cartwright's is well known here for their butcher shop, organic produce, and specialty items. They also opened butcher shop, deli, and market in Medford OR. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/cart...biXt_0vy97oY5A
