Great expansion of the competition. I'll be a spectator. Good luck with successful cooks and have fun.

Haven't heard from PJ for a while (love this "blocking" feature) but I see that CaptainMike is organizing some kind of shindig. Not sure what Labor Day weekend has in store but if it's possible, I'm thinking I might just have to fire up the OG ... a.k.a., Evil R2D2 ... for a little barely-detectable smoke:

That smoke ain’t from no pellets, you’re probably just burning the crap out of your food.

The stick burner crowd is at a significant disadvantage to the easy bake ovens. Its hard to mess up "bake at 225 until probe tender"... I'm serious, but just kidding. I'd 100% join the stick burning crowd if mine was finished! I'll join in somehow regardless!

Awesome sauce! Don't fret about your stick burner, join us pellet heads and enjoy all the downtime for drinking beer and playing cornhole. We can overwhelm the competition on shear numbers alone. If my math is correct, we're up to at least 10 pellet heads already.

CaptainMike has both also. Hey Mike, have you decided if you’re gonna cook on one or both?

Which one are you waitin' on?

Lone Star Grillz 20x36 offset
Weber 26" kettle
PK Classic
Weber Genesis gas grill
Lodge Sportsman Grill
Weber Smokey Joe Silver
Smoke Hollow 44 gas smoker
Cheapo Brinkmann charcoal smoker with DIY propane conversion
It doesn't seem much of a challenge, really.... People who cook with wood vs. People who cook with rabbit poop.
I have some family stuff going on that weekend, so I'll need to figure out what I can do on the LSG working around those obligations.

Hey folks, I spoke with CaptainMike about this, in case anyone wants to join in but can’t make it that weekend. If you need to cook the week before, go ahead! Just post your pics after CaptainMike starts the "Official Smackdown" post. Labor Day Friday morning, Mike will start the post where everyone shows their pics.
Or you can just steal some BBQ pics off the internet and post em as yours, that’s what I do.
