Again, great color combination. Every once in a while we realize (too late) that we made cauliflower, halibut, & white rice. Somehow it doesn't taste as good as it should, due to the white wash-out.

Dr. Pepper fresh herbs and colorful sauces are always an option.

A riff on my sriracha ribs dish we love here. Did pork belly SVQ burnt ends. Followed advice from an old thread here, went 144F for 48 hours. Cooled down. Hit the grill with a sweet-chili/sriracha glaze until crispy-ish on the Weber. Thin Japanese noodles, mushrooms and edamame. sloppy plating, but good eats!

Patty melt. Trying out this Sola low carb bread from Costco. I don't like the ingredients list but it passes every check point.

EDIT: Just saw you're in Alaska. What's your Q'in season? Can't imagine your firing up in February.

Thanks RichieB. Q'in season is 12 months a year - never stops! I've posted pics with 4 feet of snow on the deck with a path cut through for the grills. :-) I am waiting on an Englebrecht stick burner right now. That may be more challenging in the winter, but we'll see.

Pulled out the big gun tonight, and then ran cherry smoke on some chili cheese dogs.

fzxdoc I laughed at that as well, 6 or 7 coals and a smaller chunk of cherry wood. I bought that little 14 Smokey joe back in 2018 when we were moving. We had cleaned the oven about a week before we moved and I needed something to cook a few easy meals.

this is pretty good. Residentially German portal salad, but with more veggies added in - corn kernels, baby spinach and fresh parsley.

Mr. Bones - I have been serving it somewhere between warm and room temp, although I have also eaten it cold and it was good that way too. I prefer slightly warm. The dressing is equal parts Dijon mustard, red wine vinegar and EVOO.

    Smashburger with potato salad.

So you want to talk about lazy. My wife made her meatballs and sauce today. I took a couple some sauce and put it on some fresh french bread. Added my parm cheese from a grind I did. Put in toaster oven for a few and done. A bit of red to compliment.

That’s not lazy! That was last Monday night for us.

Did another #BBQDriveBy today. Smoked a pork butt overnight and delivered it along with some Rancho Gordo black eyed peas and some slaw. Of course, I didn't give it ALL away and enjoyed a nice meal once we got back home.

Thanks, Mr. Bones. This is just about the only slaw I make these days because we like it so much: http://picturetherecipe.com/recipes/...r-vinaigrette/

I had a CSA green cabbage I needed to use, so no red cabbage. The apples were Kiku.
