                          Wow, overwhelmed by all your responses, thanks again! Now as Meathead says, follow the recipe the first time. Then start riffing and tweaking to get it to just where you like it.

                            Thanks this is very exciting.. Was a sad day in my family when we realized the steak rub was no longer available. Looking forward both to mixing up an initial batch and then experimenting with tweaks as you suggest, because who can resist that!
