Is any meat worth $150 + per pound to you?

I have to say no on this one. I personally prefer dry aged prime to any other. There comes a point where there’s literally more fat than lean. Yes I have paid those kind of prices in the past, but found I liked prime better. I have one wagyu brisket left in the freezer then it will be all gone.

I would love to try some high dollar meat, but the way my mind works is that I would be thinking with every bite that there goes $10 or $20 down the gullet.

I'm 82 years young and going as hard as I can for as long as I can.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind.

Retired
So I'm not alone then.
Years ago (early 90s) I took my bride to a restaurant that cost me about $150 without drinks. I had roast duck in rasberry sause and it was by far the best duck I have ever eaten. My bride had a filet mignon as tender as a Mother's love. That was a cheap meal compared to what the 4 geese I just shot in Texas three weeks ago cost me. Around $1,600 for about 2 pounds of goose breast meat. The good time with good friends made it worth every penny. But I don't think shopping at Omaha Steaks or Porter Road would give me the same fullfilment. Just sayin'.

I have a Hasty Bake that I won right here on Amazing Ribs ! Also have a pellet grill but the HB is the best for daytime BBQ. Like my Thermoworks chef alarm and heat resistant gloves.
Not me. I watch for the Costco or Sams ads . Whole tenderloins on sale there is as far as I can go. That Hasty Bake can make a mighty fine 2 1/2 inch ( before cooking) steak. Sometimes, I do a whole one and slice off to meet the desired amount.

I have, twice, bought Wagyu beef. Once a brisket and once a tri-tip. Neither cost me $50/lb, let alone $150/lb. Neither actually was that great that I would do that instead of Prime.
