    beautiful! I LOVE the costco tri tips and the grill grates are awesome too for tri tip. Try Big Bad Beef Rub on the tri tip, you won't be disappointed!

        Fantastic! I find 140 is the sweet spot on tri tip, I'll never understand people who like their 'tip' at a bloody 115 ...

          Beautiful tri tip, that looks great! Like most everyone else, I loves me some tri tip and it's one of my favorites. That chimichurri is a nice touch, I'll be trying that out next time for sure!

            Oddly ..... And I am a tri-tip fanatic .... I bought my Hasty-Bake because it's the best backyard grill in the price range for cooking Tri-Tip! ... anyway, oddly, I prefer Montreal Steak Seasoning of all my possible choices on Tri-Tip. I've tried Big Bad Beef Rub and Mrs. O'Leary's Cow Crust and Dalmatian Rub and special Santa Maria rubs .... Montreal layered on nice and thick is the best choice for Tri-Tip.

              Those look SO MUCH BETTER than the one I had last week. Hit the local smokehouse and decided to try their tri-tip. I was so sad. It looked NOTHING like the pics here, grey, tough, and dry. Which is disappointing because their brisket and ribs are awesome.

                I've done bad TTs in the past, but I'm pretty sure they were USDA Select grade. I'm not sure this one came out so good because it was Prime, or because I've learned more since my last TT cook. Probably some of both.

                Hey Meathead - it would be great to see a comparison cook of TTs: Select, Choice, and Prime. Cooked exactly the same way. Just to see. You could make a video!
