Hey everyone, the booking link to the Lafayette Homewood Suites has expired. This was the link for AR Members to get the discounted rate of $122. per night. If anyone still wants to go but hasn’t made a reservation yet, please call the hotel directly and ask for Faith. She WILL GIVE YOU THE DISCOUNTED RATE, but you have to tell her you’re with the AmazingRibs.com group. The direct number to the hotel is 337-264-6044 Nothing further, carry on….🥸

EDIT: Laurie is no longer there, the person to ask for is Faith. I edited it above to show the correct person.

Sadly, I am backing out of the trip. I hate it, but this just isn't my season. I know it is going to be loads of fun and I'll miss you all.

Btw, Homewood Suites has an Airport shuttle and an outdoor pool.

Alan Brice Thanks for the reminder about the airport shuttle, I totally forgot about it. If anyone’s interested in using the free hotel shuttle, here’s what I found online. AI

The Homewood Suites by Hilton Lafayette Airport Shuttle is a complimentary service for guests, offering fast, prompt transportation to and from the Lafayette Regional Airport. To use it, you should call the hotel directly upon arrival or in advance to arrange pickup and drop-off. Drivers are reportedly friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent service for both arrivals and departures.

        How to arrange your shuttle:

1 Contact the hotel directly: The best way to arrange your pickup is to call the hotel once you've landed or when you're ready for pickup at the airport.

2 Provide details: You may need to provide your flight information and expected arrival time.

3 Meet at the designated point: The shuttle will pick you up from a designated location at the airport and bring you to the hotel.

4 Confirm your departure: For your departure, communicate with the front desk staff to schedule your shuttle back to the airport.

        Key features:

        Complimentary:
The shuttle service is a free amenity for guests staying at the Homewood Suites by Hilton Lafayette.

        Convenient:
It provides quick and efficient transportation to and from the Lafayette Regional Airport.

        Friendly service:
Guests have reported positive experiences with the shuttle drivers.

Oak Smoke Texas was on the short list we looked at. Number 1 criteria was no state income tax, and then we looked at whether the place was insane like WA, then number 3 was no cold winters. That basically got us down to FL and TX

This video just popped into my YouTube feed, thought I’d share it. It goes in depth about the production of Tabasco sauce. It’s about 10 minutes long but pretty darn interesting! If you’re planning on touring the Tabasco factory at the MeatUp it’s definitely worth watching, you’ll learn many things that aren’t displayed on the tour.

Yep, that's how I make mine but without the barrels, pumps, bottling lines, etc. So, not really the same I guess LOL.

Tabasco's sriracha is better than Huy Fong's in my opinion.

Tabasco does have a few flavors to try after the tour!

58limited Tabasco ice cream. When I went to the Gilroy garlic festival in northern CA, they had garlic ice cream. Had to try it, wish I didn't. I'm sure Tabasco ice cream is better.

Hello everyone, looking forward to a trip back to Louisiana by way of Lafayette! Joining my brother aka TripleB for a good time. I can see an abundance of locations to feast. I have an interest in Laura's 2 Soul Food Cafe and Don's Seafood. I guess I'll have to get busy and come up with an itinerary. I expect it to be interesting. Until that time.

Alan Brice Never thought of my brother's handle as a play on TripleB. But TripleB comes from our competition name - Brothers Butts & Bones BBQ. I quess I should be QuadrupleB, but then people might think I had heart surgery.

I once had a snifter of Louis VIII cognac (current price is north of $4K for a 750ml). It was nice. I'd throw a C-note at it if all a y'all pick up the rest.
