Alrighty folks, even though it’s over 3 months away, I figured we should go ahead and start booking our rooms for the Fall Cajun Country MeatUp. There’s a lot of festivals in Louisiana during the month of October and I thought we should start a little earlier than normal. I also found out the hotel we’re going to stay at is undergoing some major room updates/renovations, so they won’t have their full number of rooms available for a while. We should all have nice updated rooms by the time we check in!
We really enjoyed our stay there last time, the place was great, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for our group, as well as a complimentary hot breakfast each morning. Every room has a small kitchenette with a stove, microwave, dishes/utensils as well as a Full Size fridge/freezer!
In addition to the many great Cajun restaurants Lafayette is known for, there’s also a ton of activities available for us. From Swamp Tours to the Acadian Village, there’s plenty of things to see and do while we’re there!

As I mentioned earlier, we’re getting a really good rate on our rooms….$122. per night plus tax! To get this rate, as usual, USE THE LINK BELOW. Do not book your rooms using their website, you won’t get the discounted rate! I’m including a link to their website though, so you can get more information about the hotel if needed. When you click on the link, booking your room is EZ-PZ. There’s also a few lines of wording explaining their hotel policies, no big deal. One of them says Check-In time is 4PM and checkout is 11AM. I’ve already asked about the check-in time and they’re more than happy to let us check in earlier if you want, providing you call them the morning of your arrival and ask. They will make sure to have a clean room ready for you, if there’s not one already. Also, it says there’s a $25. per day INCIDENTALS FEE charged each night of your stay. THIS WILL BE REFUNDED TO YOU WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF CHECKING OUT. 👍 This would not be refunded if you, let’s say…. get drunk and trash the room or steal stuff.
Your credit card will not be charged until you check-in. As is normal, you can cancel your room if needed, up to 48 hours of your arrival date without any charges. Our rooms and special rate are reserved for us that Thursday thru Sunday, but if anyone wants to stay longer than that or on different days, please CALL THE HOTEL AND ASK FOR FAITH. Tell her you’re with the AmazingRibs.com group. She will then give you the special rate for your additional days. When you book your rooms thru the link, it won’t let you enter additional days at our rate, that’s why you’ll need to call Laurie, she’ll fix ya right up!
