Happened to be at my local hardware store, which is a big Weber and BGE retailer. They have BGE's on sale, but not Webers. To include the Summits.

As soon as the sale was posted here, I looked at WallyWorld, and Home Depot sites. Ace hardware, too. Nothin' on sale here in Larryville.

Hi Bones. The sale I saw was at Smoke n Fire in Overland Park. You might give them a call. $1199 for the basic unit. But that was back in August.

I would love one of the summit carts, but yeah can't justify the price.

I'm looking to get the grilling station, local price is $1999, any way to get it cheaper? Where is this store? Phone number?

It went off sale on 12/31. Back to regular price. The time to buy would have been Black Friday when they would have tacked on another $200 discount as part of their annual Black Friday sale. I still couldn't justify another smoker even at that great price.

Wando52 Welcome! I checked Firecraft.com and BbqGuys.com and both were $1,999. We'd love to get an intro from you over in the Introduce Yourself channel when you get a minute. Thank you!

I just bought one without cart for $1499. They're very nice grills. Just do it!

Before I buy another cooker I'll have to inventory all my wife's "tools" and see how I fare. Probably bad news for me. Lol.

I would have to be to live in it if I bought one.

It might be affordable. They say the insulation is fantastic so your utility bills would go down. It has wheels so you could ditch the car.

According to the dude on BBQ Central Show last night, (Weber Rep) The Summit was a huge success for Weber. I am glad to hear it. I am still waiting for the R&D to be paid for, so they can lower the price. I am starting come around on these.

Well after reading about the Weber Summit Charcoal Grill, I ventured down to our local Weber dealer today and found the WSCG on an "After Christmas Sale" for $999.00! So I'm now the proud owner of a new toy to add to the collection! For any Ohioians looking to pull the trigger, they still have one unit left! Unfortunately they did not have any "Grilling Center" models left.

I am being tempted by a local dealer who has the the Summit grilling station for $1499. I already have a 22" Weber Performer and a Vision 18" kamado, so as one other poster put it, it would be a pure indulgence and the performer would have to go to make room for the summit. Go ahead, make your case & convince me.

For one, The summit is a huge upgrade. Your performer still works fine but this is just plain better. If you are into new things and you want something to fill that void, id say the Summit does it. If its a good deal and you can afford it, do it. You will be happy in the long run. In two months your gonna wish you had taken my advise if you don't...........

efincoop , run out right this minute and buy that WSGCS! I love, love love mine.

Having that nice sturdy storage table is great. And get rid of the Performer, if that's a must due to space limitations. You won't regret it. As Max Good and Spinaker say, its a huge upgrade from the Performer, making some great food with very little effort. The temperature stays rock steady, and you'll love having more real estate on that larger grate. The hinged lid is wonderful. I could go on and on.

I paid $2000 for mine last June, so you're getting a heckuva deal.
