Hot off the heels of the chili cook-off we just had, I was thinking about some type of group cook we could do for the month of January. Since a lot of us are limited in outdoor cooks because of the freezing and often inclement weather, what better way to do this with another indoor cook everyone can participate in…Show Us Your Soup? AR Soup Smackdown? Not sure what we could call it, any ideas? I didn’t know this, but apparently gumbo is the top national soup here in the United States. It’s definitely one of my favorites. From bisques to chowder and minestrone to French onion…the possibilities are almost endless. Even though our members in other countries might not recognize January as soup month, I’d love to see all of our international members participate and show us…what is one of the favorite soups in your country?
Anyway, I was just wondering what you guys and gals think…..Is this something you’d be interested in doing sometime in January? Along with sharing your recipes for others to try? Not only would beans be allowed, it would actually be encouraged!
