Mine is taking over! I was thinking about trimming it way back until I realized it actually was shading the other herbs from the sizzling afternoon heat, they would perish without the shade. Welp, I’m pretty sure based on your comment about the yellow flower, that I miss identified your plant. I thought it was a Chaya plant. I’m going to post a photo of one of my Chaya plants here shortly so you can see. Chaya is a tree spinach, originally from the YucatÑn peninsula. It’s pretty good to eat, but as with everything, it’s a matter of options and there are some preparations required before it’s consumed, which may make it less appealing to some. You have a nice garden.

Chaya plant info available at this link: http://people.umass.edu/psoil370/Syl...iles/Chaya.pdf
The plant has variations in its leaf patters, and from the photo you posted, I miss identified it.
in any case, here is one of my Chaya plants, so you can see.
      Thank you,
      Ricardo

2021 is gonna be awesome! We have more blossoms on the orange, grapefruit, and lemon trees than ever. The monarch eggs have turned into beautiful caterpillars and they are devouring the milk weed. Turtles are patrolling the blueberry patch for blue breakfast! Jolly Green Giant would be proud of the rosemary. Bees are buzzing and lady bugs are on scene!

We don't have an herb garden, per se. Just assorted herbs scattered around the garden.

Clockwise from top right: sage, roman mint (mentuccia - awesome with artichokes), Sicilian oregano, rosemary, Provence lavender, French thyme.

I would love some raspberries or blueberries, but I also don't want blue/red bird poo on my cars or house. We had a red berry bush in the UK and were often "blessed" with cleaning opportunities.
