    Show us your herb garden!

I decided to put in a raised herb garden. I ordered the iron & welding today to match this one.

Mine is a few weeks out. Turned compost pile last weekend and prepped raised beds, plants have been ordered. Somewhat regretting letting the gardens I inherited when i bought the house die years ago. Neglect took most of them but the rosemary went by way of a chainsaw... Now I'm having to start them all over.

Medicine is all in th world I was referencin, earlier, in my post above.
Before current pharm, plants, leaves, stalks, herbs, berries, blossoms, roots, barks, etc. were what sustained us hominids health/lives, fer summat a longish time, by my reckonin.

Here in Kentucky, the rule of thumb is don't plant anything until after Derby Day. At least not anything that can be killed by a late freeze.

Mostly Spearmint, (fer tea, etc.) but even it was decidedly reactive to ~½ normal lows, here...
No maters, peppers, etc. in, so far, TTG&G...

We're 3-4 weeks from putting anything in the ground. The last few years I've planted them throughout my landscaping and have had some great results. For the most part they have required very little tending. The basil, sage and thyme grow like crazy. Smells crazy good in the summer.

I will add to this post possibly as soon as late May. Southern MN is still unseasonably snowy and cold for April. We are trying to make the best of it right now by concentrating our time on how to keep the deer out of the gardens this year. Hunters are welcome in my backyard!!!

I've been using Litehthouse brand freeze dried herbs for a long time, but my favorite grocery store stopped carrying them. Online prices are about double with shipping. Their salad blend makes an excellent board sauce.

Might have to start a little garden. Any favorite retailers I should look at?
