What Kind of Mushroom Is This?

Anybody know? I got them from the FM yesterday. But I forgot to write down what they are. And they are not answering my email. I remember it starts with a “C”. The largest cap is about the size of a half dollar. But most of them are the size of a quarter. The stems are long. The tasting notes said they are a bit nutty. I am guessing they would be great roasted.

    Forest Nameko or Cinnamon Caps?

Just looking for photos that resemble this bundle of goodness, that was one that came up.

I was also looking at the site of the place I bought them from and the closest picture was Chestnut. I also sent them a note of FB. Maybe they will write back soon.

An image search also turned up Chestnut. I'm not really familiar with different mushrooms.

As long as it's not "croak" I think you're good.

There's a couple mushroom ID threads of Reddit that would probably come up with it pretty quick. The only other "C" shroom I can think of is Cremini, which doesn't look right iirc.

Those look like too much fun to pass up on. LOL.

I would not attempt to tell you what these are or if you should eat them. I will leave that to professionals.

FYI, mushroom are the fruit of the fungus plant. They're trying to make them legal here in portland. But that must be a different mushroom. LOL

Do they bruise blue? Maybe a misspelled psilocybin, lol.

While you have very knowledgeable answers from may folks, I am just gonna say they look magical. Very, magical...
