    Looking for a new rub...

All - looking for a new (homemade please) rib rub combo. I've been using primarily a "Memphis Style" recipe along with meatheads MMD....and both are excellent. But im looking for a new avenue for variation. Maybe something that tends a bit more to the "savory" side and less to the sweet side. Thought I'd turn to y'all for guidance.

Just posted this earlier in another topic. Try it. My favorite on dry ribs. Is salt free to you can dry brine. Works on just about any pork product, and great on whole hog too.

    8 tablespoons paprika
    4 tablespoons granulated garlic
    4 tablespoons home-made chili powder
3 tablespoons course ground black pepper
    1 teaspoon mustard powder
    1.5 tablespoon celery seed
    1 tablespoon dried Mexican oregano
    1 tablespoon dried thyme
    2 teaspoon ground allspice
    2 teaspoon ground coriander
    1 teaspoon Accent

Yes, the allspice is the secret ingredient.

I have a Mexican style rub that I really like on pork butt. Thinking about doing ribs with it sometime soon.

    2 tbsp garlic powder
    2 tbsp chili powder
    1 tbsp onion powder
    1 tbsp white table sugar
    1 tbsp ground cumin
    2 tsp cinnamon
    1 tsp ground coriander
    2 tsp smoked paprika
    1 tsp ground oregano
    ½ tsp cayenne pepper
