I sent them one of my rubs, they generated some awesome artwork and a great description. I am getting a couple jars worth in a couple days. Can’t wait! I’ll share a link in here and folks can try it out if they like.

Well, it's been a long day, but I did stop by Chef Heart and learned some more about it. And my dumb questions spurred the owner to make some changes so idiots like me can figure it out.
To address a couple of questions posed, I didn't work the software. I went to the shop and had him walk me through it. I can't remember what I had for breakfast most of the time (and I eat the same thing every day) so I don't remember how he did it. All I did was answer some questions.
So, I went back today and told him let's make another one and I document it for the forum. He was already tweaking the Spice Wizard to make it more user friendly (a nice way to say easier for dumbasses like me to use it. We then walked through it with me asking questions and him tweaking. In the end I had a much better understanding and feel I can now address your questions.
If you go to the site and start a session with the Spice Wizard, the first thing you have to do is choose a method. Traditional, Flavour, Persona, or Build a Blend. Each is now clearly described. Basically, Traditional and Flavour focus on questions about flavour, colour, type of meat, etc. Build a Blend is picking out a combination of spices, say Rosemary, Parsley, Sage, and Thyme. The Spice Wizard then creates a balanced blend. Persona is a very different animal. It's more about feelings and personality; the Spice Wizard then creates a blend that evokes the feelings or personality. Whichever one you choose, you can use your own words and input as much information as you want. And you can tell it to change things, say it gives you a blend and you don't want this, or want that, in it, tell the Wizard and it will change it for you.
When all is said and done and you are happy with the results, copy the recipe and click on the purchase button. The order page opens in a new tab (by design, if you didn't copy the recipe it is easy to go back to the tab) Paste the recipe in the appropriate box. Then there is a way to upload a picture. I can be any picture (subject to approval, he won't do porn) In my case, he generated the picture using an AI programme. That is not included on his site, I suggested he put in some links to some of these programmes. Most you have to create an account for or pay a fee, but if you describe what you want, he'll run it through his programme.
Then you pay and you are done. They will create and print the labels, blend and grind the spices, pack it up and ship it to you. They also create a webpage for your blend that is linked to each bottle via a QR code. You also become an affiliate and will get access to a portal so you can keep track of your blends and your commissions are handled through it. I have one sale now thanks to a Pit member. But that's not the reason I created my blend, I made it for some grumpy, grouchy, old bastard friends of mine, and for the fun of doing it. But I might just have some blends made up to sell. I plan on spending time this winter tie-dyeing and making hippie jewelry. Mrs. CN makes soaps, and next spring I'll have produce. I plan on vending from a 1965 VW bus I got this year. Adding some hippie themed spices would fit right in.
As I stated earlier, Chef Heart is offering a discount that is exclusive to AR members. I can't post it, so I've put James and Huskee in contact so Huskee can post it. Today James created a landing page just for AR. If anyone not an AR member stumbles upon it, they will be encouraged to join AR to get the discount code. I haven't been able to get in touch with Huskee about that yet, so I won't post the URL yet. Plus, I reviewed it today and it has a couple of bugs on it (video issues) that need to be fixed.
Anyway, if you want freshly grounded spices to cook with, I suggest trying out some of blends on the website. Or have some made up for you with your own label, you can have them to show off to your guests or give them out as gifts. If you want to sell spices, either your brand, or have a restaurant or store and want your own private brand label, this is a good avenue. No minimums, freshly ground to order, and they market it on their website.
I'm glad I found it, I already have six different blends to enjoy.

Started smoking in Aug 2025. First smoker is a Weber Searwood. I purchased a ThermoWorks Smoke to get a more accurate temperature and the pro-series needle probe. I also have a Weber grilling basket, Weber grill brush, and the Grillart steambrush. I've tried all sorts of pellets and wood flavors and my family mainly likes the Traeger signature blend. I have a meat injector and shears for poultry.
I also recently purchased a new 2010 used Weber Kettle Performer. Just got a cover for it. I bought the ThermoWorks RFX with 1 wireless probe, the SnS and DnG to spruce up the grill. I have not cooked on it yet. I cut a hole and installed the ThermoWorks billows. I did buy 4 bags of the B&B charcoal briquettes.
All my cooking has been on the Searwood. I absolutely love cooking Pork Shoulder, chicken wings, chicken breasts and steak. I won first place in my church chili cookoff (I bragged to everyone about it) and I really enjoyed the chili (and I don't really like chili). I really enjoyed Moink balls. I like cooking ribs, chicken breasts, and chicken legs with white sauce.
I look forward to cooking pork burnt ends, smoked turkey for Thanksgiving, and maybe even a brisket.
I'm still trying to determine rubs my wife will really enjoy. I love the rubs from the website, but my wife just wants some rubs that will bring out the meat flavor so she can taste the meat. I'm seeking simple rubs for chicken breasts and steaks.
I love soda and especially Dr. Pepper. I don't drink alcohol.
I live near Boise, ID. I've been married for 25 years and I have 5 kids. I'm a second career dentist.

This is exciting! Just what this site needed. Custom, made to order. Not that I do not like MMD, or Simon n Garfunkel, I do!
I use them more than anything. Richard Chrz has some wonderful blends, esp his pork rub. Cleverly called Richard's Pork Rub.
Jocko's Poultry Blend and Grampa's Steak blend.
Now I have an entirely new avenue that opens up the spice world to any concoction I can conceive. Thankyou CN!!!

I have made MMD. I buy the bulk spices and mix them together. Result is a jar of rub and some bags of leftover bulk spices that age in the cupboard until I need to make more. Having Chef Heart make it for me, I get spices that are blended and then ground together fresh.

What I really like, besides making personal blends for you, is the ability to create custom names and labels for your spices/rubs. I’d much rather use a bottle of something I named and designed myself, than looking at….McCormick. Also, I just went to their website and it’s really a pretty good deal! Most of the bottles I saw were only $10. and shipping wasn’t bad either. I entered my address and it showed shipping to Houston was $4.50 for 1 bottle, but I don’t see many people doing this small of a quantity. I put 5 bottles in my cart, just for pricing, and it showed FREE shipping to my address! This is just too damn cool! 😎

I believe all orders over $39 dollars get free shipping. It’s somewhere on the website. Which means four of the small bottle or two large bottles and one small one.
Another thing I thought of was creating a blend for a particular event. Can you imagine what an unopened jar from the 2026 Texas spring meat up would fetch on eBay 100 years from now?😂

Probably millions of $……😂

Correction. Free shipping is with orders of $30. So that is three small bottles or two large.

This is so cool! I have been experimenting with my own blends and have used AI to help me organize and refine a few. I have 3 keepers so far that I am debating packaging with my "Check-Six" logo. Your name and artwork/logo are awesome! Love this idea!
