      Lazy Layne I like the bark on your pork butt . One pork butt i did , i pulled it and
      seperated the bark from it . Chopped bark up very fine than i added it to the pork
      and mixed up , turned ouy pretty good .

      I did 40 #s once on my BGE it too 22 hours on one load of charcoal. How long did yours take?

      LA Pork Butt, it was 14 hours at 225. One load of lump with lots left over.

    Here's another cook, one of my favorites ..... 30 lbs of pork butt on the Hasty-Bake ..... did it for the neighbor when he was throwing a graduation party for his daughter.

      BRic my neighbor is captain of the local fire station ... his wife is my wife's best friend ... our kids grew up together .... was the least I could do for him and his oldest kid.

    Bone almost pulls itself out after 14 hours in the Cambro in above pic.

    One pan pulled more to go. Then it's bag vac seal and in the freezer. Usually wind up with 40 to 50lbs. of pulled and bagged meat after a smoker full of pork butts!

      Thanks Willard - I sure hope that is the plan. This last surgery at age 53 was the first time I had anything since my tonsils and adenoids were out in the 3rd grade, in 1973! Now I double up this year...

      In 1973, I stayed in the hospital for 3-4 days after getting my tonsils out. Basically missed a full week of school. Things sure have changed, as the previous spinal surgery was outpatient, and this next one is just an overnight stay.
