I'm smoking two butts for a party tomorrow. One is 6.8 pounds the other is 9.2. How long do you think? I'm thinking around 16 hours cooking, 3 for resting.
Probably going to keep the temp around 250ish. Weber and SnS.
I'd say that's a good plan, since the big one might take that long. If you're running behind schedule on that one, you could always wrap it to move things along.
They were done in 12 hours.
I really like the Weber briquettes. I reloaded with them at 9 last night and at 7:30 this morning there was still some left with a pit temp of 185.
