I did spend some time today trying to track down the one I had seen in that video many moons ago. It's not really a Santa Maria kind of grill with a movable cooking grate. It has a fixed grate and a built-in brasero/fogonero.
It is made by Tromen ( http://www.tromen.com.ar/?s=productos.php&l=g&id=14 ) in Argentina/Uruguay and is their Gaucha model:
Here's the video I first saw it in a year or more ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1s-Tr0TtmdM
It also appears in many of their other videos. Actually, I think the one in that video is its smaller sibling the "Criolla" model
Despite all the various types of grills I have owned/used over the decades my favorite way to grill is still over an open wood fire. Since I got my Karubecue this Spring thus I will be keeping a rack full of firewood on hand and I may have to pursue buying one of these or something very close to it. I've given thought to making something similar but this is a project that would likely die, like so many others, on my to-do list.
It's not an expensive grill - the equivalent of about $700US but dealing with shipping/customs could be a real nightmare.
Anyway, thanks for the assistance.
