I generally plan meals three ways: 1) what I have in the freezer; 2) what is on sale that week at my local grocery stores; and 3) what I find in the manager’s “discount/sale” bin. #3 generally is purchased, sealed, frozen and becomes #1 for future dinners.
With that being said, I rarely find pork loin on sale or in the Manger’s “discount” bin. Also, the loins I find are small and thus does not make for a very large chop.
After Christmas, I was hoping to find beef rib roasts in the Manager’s discount bin. But alas, I did not. If they were there, someone else got ‘em .
