I’m doing a race along Lake Michigan tomorrow morning in the city. Then I have to hightail it home. We’re flying out early Sunday morning so we’re hosting my in laws for a Saturday early dinner because we’re going to the Easter vigil mass tomorrow night. So of course my FIL is bring over a whole lamb for me to cook and my MIL is bringing a ham too. Pasta? Of course. Whereas I figured we’d have a quiet Saturday I remembered I married into an Italian family 😂. So we’ll have plenty of sides. I already have a lamb rib roast and will be serving ……more lamb 🐑. And I can’t wait either.

NOTHING the Air Fryer can't handle. I'm headed to the woods anyway so I'll probably have some of these special peanut butter snack bar thingies.

Just us, and I didn’t even realize this weekend was Easter. Found out my wife did and bought a ham steak for us to share. However as she was putting groceries away in one of the freezers she found a pre-cooked 3 lb hunk of Prime Rib I must have cutoff from a holiday cook. So I will reheat that using sous vide and give it a few minutes under the broiler for dinner Saturday with any leftovers for dinner Sunday.

For Easter, nothing. Monday, headed to Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort, Olympic peninsula near Port Angeles, Washington. Meeting up with son's Spokane family and daughter's Yakima family. The old folks for 3 nights, the youngsters for 4. Planning food now. Wife says, if we don't have something, just go to store. There is no store, no phone, no internet.

fav is brisky. Love Turkey on PBC. also Turkey in the glass,(any nice bourbon)
Bud has always been my barley pop.
Been smoking a handful of years, just got serious in the last two or three years. Thanks to AR n @glemn picked up an SnS Kamado for appx 1/3 price of new. I dont think he used it twice. Love AR! keep calm n smoke on! Miss you Bonesy.
I offered to smoke a rack of pork, denied. Starting to think I cannot cook anymore.
Reminds me of the time I smoked a briskie to have for the weekend with the In-Laws for one of nieces birthdays, Denied.
She wanted spaghetti and I just gave the beef to my friend/coworker at the dealership.
Now I am told to do a French Toast casserole. So I will do a couple pounds of bacon on the flat top in addition to SIL doing a sausage n egg casserole.
I said I was going to stay home from church to make the casserole hot. That only made Kim hot. Oh well, family. I will cook the bacon tonight and get up extra early to cook the casserole. Have not told Kim my plans, she just went to work with her drillies in a bunch. Soo easy to do anymore.
Happy Easter everyone! He has risen!........He has risen, Indeed!
