Ok, I have a confession. I am interested in your plans, but I shamelessly started this thread to post the fact that I have no plans bc I just got off a plane in Copenhagen to visit this Bunny. I’ll be chewing on every inch of her over the holiday. Man I wish she lived closer.
But in all seriousness, tell us what your Easter plans are. We will be going out for Smørrebrød on Sunday.
Pit Barrel Cooker
Weber Master-Touch
Blackstone Omnivore 4 Burner Griddle

Vortex for the Weber
Both of Meathead's books!
Way too many BBQ related accessories, tools, and doo-dads!
Saturday at the in-laws for dinner, no idea what's on the menu. Sunday, (even though the recipients are all adults now) baskets for the "kids", and brunch on the Blackstone.
Grilled Lamb chops and poached salmon, green beans, potatoes, glazed carrots and of course lots of apps for a crowd of 14 adults and 9 kids! Happy Easter!
I don't think the kids are coming home from college - they haven't made the 2-hour drive in months, and I don't see this weekend being any reason they would change that. Haven't cared to be here since Christmas. We're in that stage where we are expected to support them, but aren't important enough to actually visit. <sigh> Oh well. Next is the nursing home. <shrug>
I'm thinking I want smashburgers on the Blackstone. That sounds freaking good.
Don't feel bad, it will get worse with the visits. We're down to practicality no visits here as the grandson is seriously into hockey and that takes all of their time. He loves it so what can you do? I was the same in college, hated to give up a Saturday of 8 or more hours pounding nails for a contractor.
Years ago when our son left for college, he never returned to live with us. When he graduated, he moved to DC, then to Boston, and then to Austin and he's still in Austin. He visits more now than when in college 2 hours away.
I bought a couple lamb shanks that I'll be braising on Easter for me and my wife. It's going to be a rainy cool day here (thankfully as we are in a drought) and it'll be the perfect meal accompanied with mashed potatoes and some sort of green veggie or salad with rolls.

Happy Easter my friend.
Rolling out a 10lb bone in prime rib. Cooking it up on the Weber Kettle with the Ring attachment. And probably a couple of loaded baked potatoes.
Just the wife and I. So there should be some leftovers. 😁
Not big ham people here, it's ok but we'll pass. Chicken Piccata over homemade fresh pasta, deviled eggs and salad. Kids are tied up with hockey of course so just the two of us.
I’ll be roasting a picnic (the lower leg portion of the pork shoulder) on my pellet smoker and making Cubans. The wife has planned asparagus and we’ll have some store bought potato salad and for desert some Bluebell Pecan Pie Ice Cream. We’ll be feeding son, daughter-in-law and two adolescent grandkids.
Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
We stopped doing big Easter meals last year. It’s just the two of us, and my in-laws (Mary Joan’s sister and her husband). We went to a local restaurant that serves an Easter buffet. It was lots of old folks with the same thing in mind!
Anyhow, the food was good so we’re doing it again this year.
