Hi Pit members!
I know some of you follow a keto diet, and I need your help in suggestions for a dinner. A friend of mine is on a keto diet, plus she's overly sensitive to anything sweet (meaning her belly protests wildly). That means she doesn't eat candy and ice cream (obviously), but not fruits or berries either.
My task is to serve a dinner for a party of 8, in 6-8 weeks time, and my friend is one of them. I would like to do a 3 course meal everyone can eat.
This is what I'm thinking:
Starter: Carpaccio (home made)
Main: Some kind of meat or fish, with a sauce (au jus?) and a mixed salad.
Dessert: french cheeses and (for the rest of us) pear marmalade or similar.
Given the issue with sugars and fruit and berries I have a hard time coming up with a dessert. Various cheeses always work, but do any of you have any recommendations? Heck, any recommendation for starter and main course is equally appreciated
Thanks in advance!
PS any starch, like potatoes, rice and pasta is obviously out of the question DS
