Selling appliances was one of many jobs I have had in my life. My recommendations are Bosch, KitchenAid and Maytag as far as quality and longevity. I never dealt with Miele, so I am not including them here. Stay away from GE or Samsung as reliability and/or parts availability are currently suspect. Frigidaire Gallery and Frigidaire Professional are decent machines. My personal preference is Bosch.

When my 20 year old dishwasher was at its time to be replaced about 2-3 years ago, we went with a Bosch. I absolutely love it. It’s super quiet and I have no issues with dishes getting clean.
One vote for Bosch and one pan for Best Buy. They expect you to buy without a display model. Even for TVs - I wanted to see a TV they had in stock, but salesperson said it's not available to view. Said to take it home and if you don't like it return it. Right!
Can’t help you too much here. We have a counter top dishwasher because our ancient home doesn’t have one built in. This guy does the job way faster than built in dishwashers, but it’s pretty loud. I also had to install a separate hot water sink for it.
