What Would Be Your Last Meal On Earth?

If you knew you could only have one more meal before you die, what would it be? I know, so many choices out there! Me, I’d stuff myself so much, they’ll need a forklift to bury me… These could be meals from a restaurant or something you cook yourself. Don’t forget dessert!

Myself, I’m not really too much into fancy shmancy food, so here goes. It would definitely be a Prime Porterhouse steak, baked potatoe [extra sour cream and bacon] , fried Gulf Shrimp and oysters, a Maine lobster tail along with Alaskan King Crab legs with hot drawn butter…..dessert might be chocolate pecan pie, with a slice of coconut cream pie on the side..😳 I’d wash it all down with a Triple Jack and Coke, followed by 3 more. What about y’all?

All my family already have my instructions. A grilled cheese sandwich with pickle chips on the side and a bowl of split pea soup.

Bag of Funyuns. And I won't have to floss afterwards.

Having read the heading on your post I thought you were planning a trip out of this world. LOL. Red Beans (Camellia brand) and Rice cooked with a hambone in the beans and buttermilk slaw on the side. I would go with ice cream for dessert.

I’ve been doing keto too long. My first course would be plain cheese cake, no fruit. The second course would be German chocolate cake with extra icing. Next would be the gooiest chocolate brownies you could imagine, no nuts. There would have to be banana pudding, a big bowl. Finally it would be my wife’s Dolly Madison bars, that may be the best 7 layers of flavor I’ve ever tasted. Wash it all down with a chocolate malt and smile. It’s been so long since I’ve had carbs that I dream about tortillas.

        Uh Merry Christmas?

I’d start with grilled octopus and raw oysters. Then a Caesar salad with anchovies. Then Spaghetti with Sunday Gravy (think meat sauce of all meat sauces including braciloe)
End it with a double espresso, triple Grand Marnier (100 year of course) and a flourless chocolate cake with hazelnut gelato

        Darnit I’m hunger now!!!

          Bro!!

Don’t know where in Jersey you are, but get yourself to Ci Siamo in NYC. Modern Italian, unpretentious, so frickin’ good. You’re gonna love it!

I’m near the land of the Jets. I will keep it in mind though I don’t get into the city too often.

This is tough. I dearly love all food. But right now, I have a craving for a turkey sandwich on homemade bread with salt, pepper and mayo. Some large steak fries and finish it off with some bread pudding.

Bacon double cheeseburger with bleu cheese chunks and onion rings. Not necessarily my favorite meal, but that's what I'd order the evening before I was condemned to swing where the little birdies sing.

Oh, and garlic fries with extra garlic so the hangman gets to enjoy it that morning too!

I find it a little ironic that many of the responses on a BBQ discussion group don't involve any BBQ. We all have our comfort food. I have fried chicken. You have a cheeseburger. I love BBQ everything, but why wasn't that my last wish? It is fried chicken. I think it's because my best family meals ever involve that dish.

texastweeter that's more the "duh" answer for many of us, but it's way more better to go out in a blaze of gunfire, glory and smoking brass on a tummy full of our favorite meal than on hardtack and rancid bacon.

Fresh baked baguette sliced with fresh tomato, fresh mozzarella, basil and balsamic vinegar. Very thick piece of prime rib and baked spud with all the fixins. A $200 bottle of champagne to wash things down. Some type of double chocolate cake with 4 scoops of ice cream. I've never been able to eat ice cream but it wouldn't matter now.

So, I am going to avoid the unlimited stomach aspect here, but here’s what I think could be a realistic last meal.

A small serving of chicken with a cream of chicken white sauce and rice
Slice of raspberry pie with extra thick crust
A slice of Chocolate cheesecake with Oreo crust
A delicious slice of New York style pizza with pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, onions, sausage and drizzled with garlic sauce
A serving of super crispy French fries
A nice glass of the super peaty Laiphoraig whisky

I also assume that all of the favors mix perfectly and/or my palate is wiped clean between each course for maximum enjoyment. Otherwise that whisky will destroy any subsequent flavors after one sip.

For me, I'd start with some double dipped and fried chicken wings with mashed taters and gravy. Then some of the Pioneer Womans onion strings while I was waiting on a fully dressed wagyu cheeseburger with a side of steak fries.

Deserts would include small slices of pecan pie, coconut cream pie, apple pie, cherry pie, and blueberry pie. Probably just a bite or two of each though. And lastly, a big piece of the cheesecake brownies I post a few days ago. That's the best desert I've had in a good while.

I am a pie connoisseur myself. Mine would have to be pecan, coconut cream, key lime, peanut butter, buttermilk, blueberry, pumpkin, vinegar, apple, and Dewberry. Ohhh and I am a big fan of cobbler too....
