I guess that cleanliness/contaminants, hygiene, and freshness are my main triggers. I typically don't balk at types of food ... so average (40.63%):

I guess I'm not bothered by much...at least not what they were asking about.

Welcome back, Carol! Did you move? Weren't you in MA? Either way, glad to have you back. Are you still cooking on that PBC?

Welcome back, Carol! I hope the PBC made the move with you.

Thanks, guys! In late March we moved from MA to FL. I retired about a year ago and we were taking care of my Dad until he passed away. After that we decided a change of venue was in order. Yes, the PBC is still up and running, although with considerable rust after nearly 10 years. In fact, my first cook in the new house was Costco boneless pork butt on the PBC! Learned that they no longer sell just the replacement barrel, so I'll be running this one until it falls apart.

31% but the test seems to test different things - a (potential) health hazard isn't the same as a reaction to kinds of food (blue cheese, etc).

Good point. I suppose if anyone gets a 0 then we really need to worry about them, or at least eating at their house!

28.88%. Much lower than I expected to score. I thought I’d come out average or high. Click image for larger version

Several questions were tough to answer. Would I be grossed out by seeing an ant in the bathroom of a restaurant? No. Cockroach? Yes. Would I eat a steak bloody inside? Does that mean rare or literal blood? Etc.

I was annoyed by the "bloody steak" wording as well.

I don't particularly care for fish or humans.

We did edible insects for some reason or another in scouts. Curly fry worms, chocolate covered crickets, stuff like that.

The worms you put in cornmeal ahead of time so they poop out all the dirt they have in them and are instead filled with corn.

59.38% which surprised me. I'll have to agree with rickgregory about hazards versus a negative reaction to a food.

The questions, to me, don't necessarily determine disgust. I like fish a lot but I do not like a few types of seafood nor the smell of most fish markets but I cook (No Raw!) a lot of fish, shrimp, and other seafood. Yet fish disgust was high on my score just because I'm a bit picky about what seafood I eat and I don't like the smell of a fish market or eating raw fish.

Also, a top fish market should not SMELL. Of the sea, sure, but if you smell a profoundly fishy odor, it's not well maintained.

                Also, sushi RULES.

Your food disgust is low (33.75%).
