I am going to sign up and see if I can make it. Lots of health issues going on with my mom right now so I'm not sure about the timing. I can say for sure that I miss Bonsey though

Long time member who doesn’t get here as much as I’d like to… I’m totally in on this, and I’ll be doing beef Ribs in Mr. Bones’ memory. On top of being one of (if not THE) first person to welcome me here… on top of never being too busy to kick ANY subject around… Bonsey was always the first to offer encouragement when something was kicking my ass.
Folks, I’m here to tell you that over my decades in the ‘que arena nothing, and I mean NOTHING, has consistently kicked my ass like beef ribs 😡 After every failure, Mr. Bones was always there with advice and encouragement -
“You’ll git em next time.”
There ain’t gonna BE a next time Bones!!! 😡 I’m done with these damn things FOREVER!!!”
”You’ll git em.” 😃
A few weeks back, I played Charlie Brown trying to kick the football with beef ribs again… don’t even know why… and I hit those sumbitches outta the park! 😱😃🙌 Must’ve been the old man looking down on me. 🥲
So this next rack is for you my friend, and I know you’ll be looking down smiling with a cold one in your hand -
“Ah told ya so. 🍻😃👍”

I might be traveling that weekend but will definitely dedicate and post a cook in honor of Mr. Bones. I believe he was the first to welcome me into the pit with his signature "Welcome from Kansas Territory" line. He is missed.
