I thought we'd have to be more specific, so my obvious vote goes to flap meat (or flap steak).

Beef and if more specific, short rib.

Chicken is the obvious right answer here

Pork, we all know what you can do with pork in a smoker. In addition to all the uses that have already been mentioned -- roast pork sauerkraut and dumplings, brats (including brat patties for a burger-like sandwich), pork steak and gravy, breaded tenderloin, braunschweiger, breakfast sausage, goulash, etc.

I definitely say pork, too. As long as it's not just one cut - like ribs only, or shoulder only. If it's a type of meat, I will go with pork all the way.

This is a hard one! Would eggs count?

Good question, eggs have parents, lol, but I don't consider them meat. I too love eggs, could eat 'em in some form every day.

My first thought was ribeye... then I realized I could have all sorts of beef. Easy to say beef, but I think I could do ribeye for a whole year, assuming Panhead John is buying!

I say beef in any form. I could go from roasts to burgers to brisket to steaks to stew each day of the week and never get tired of it.

Let’s make Panhead John cook for us as well.

Pork for me. I do not think I could go a year without bacon.

Pork, pork and more pork. Loin, shoulder, ribs and my favorite I could eat every day pork chops. My choice for a non grilled or smoked meal with pork would be pork and sauerkraut.

Pork. But as soon as my year is up, I'm eating a double cheeseburger then smoked chicken wings the next day. I'll finish it off with a nice blackened grouper sandwich or shrimp po' boy.

I'm surprised that so many of you are choosing beef. I like me some beef too, but it feels less versatile than pork. Yeah, you can make bacon out of it but... and sausages... again you CAN, but...

If we confined ourselves to dinner only, beef would be in contention for me but for all meals, it's gotta be pork... mmm bacon...

                        Bacon is undefeated.

Clarity: everybody knows turkey is not bacon, that stuff is the Jax Jaguars or Detroit Lions of the bacon world.

Elk is ok I guess, but nothing beats Duck Billed Platypus.

I like their eggs in my omelettes. But their steaks are too small.

Don’t get the farm raised platypuses. (or is it platypie) The ones caught in the wild are much better.
