you can keep your Lutefisk to yourself because I don't eat it. Fresh Cod? I'll eat it all day grilled or boiled or breaded and fried. used to go to Sons of Norway Lutefisk suppers with my Grandma and I couldn't even stand the smell of it. all I'd eat were the meatballs and lefse. Uff da!

The secret to delicious lutefisk is ... aquavit!!! Lots and lots of aquavit ... and beer ... but mostly aquavit ...

Having to smell it and then watch everyone chowing down on it. Ugh.

It's not Lutefisk season or I'd share the annual Lutefisk saga. Soon, though, soon.

Okra, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, pretty much the Oklahoma staple foods.

I have never liked hot tea of any kind. I love coffee. I love iced tea, but I can't bring myself to like hot tea. I know that's a beverage and not a food, but it's what comes to mind. I don't think there is a common food I won't eat.

Not a common food, but I had chicken feet once at a work potluck. I finished what I took but I don't need to eat those again. Now pickled pigs feet - there's some yum in a jar.

YES!! That’s one of just a very few things I can’t get past my taste buds. Too bitter for me.

I'll take down just about anything rooter to tooter, but I won't eat anything with
Celery, Coconut or Cilantro. I gag at the smell of coconut. Celery is just strings that
taste like dirt. Cilantro is the leaf version of dish soap.

"Rooter to tooter" is VERY ol skool, common mongst th Ol Timers (Spanish American War, WWI Vets), when I was jus a boychile, in th hills of Muhzurrah...reckon I don't know how far back it originated, but folks I knew, what was borned in th latter 1800s was a usin it, far back as I can recollect. Mr. Bones I was Reared in Appalachia and I thought I heard most of the mountain speak sayings (my Pops was quite a collector of them) but I have to admit I had never heard that one before. Still chuckling about it. At 65 my education continues I guess.

All shellfish. But that is just my personal preference for not having my throat close up to the point that breathing become something that only other people do. Worst part is that I developed this allergy as an adult, and both my parents loved seafood, and passed that along to us kids. If I had never had fresh blue points, scallops, shrimp, ect, I wouldn't miss it so much. There is a restaurant in Wheeling IL that does blue point claws in garlic butter, that is darned near worth playing "beat the clock" with the paramedics for. I've long maintained that if I ever get some sort of terminal this or that disease, I will die by crab and not the, this or that.

As for actual choices. I cannot, and will never, tolerate black olives, or green peppers on or in anything I eat.

Organ meat of any kind. Liver, Brains, Kidney. I hate the texture and the taste. Nasty stuff. Gizzards are not bad I ate those as a kid and I will eat some pates.

Cooked, red, cabbage. Tried it twice as a teenager and it stayed down less than 5 seconds before reappearing on my plate.

Margarine, otherwise I'm pretty cool with everything else. I will confess to eating some things begrudgingly not because I totally dislike them but I try to keep the peace and be polite.
