    SRF Kobe Gourmet Hotdogs

Ok, how should I do these...grill, steam, fry or boil? Here's what I'm thinking...grilling some of them and steaming a few to make Chicago style hotdogs. Whatcha think? Click image for larger version

DWCowles Wow, I would thaw them out then cook them over medium heat on the grill. I would keep an eye on them though so they don't split on ya. Just my two cents. Others may have better ideas. You are becoming the ambassador between AR and SRF!!!

I would split the ends in "T formation" and grill to darkness using a 2-zone set up.

*scratching my head*, would you please explain the T formation and why?

Awesome DWCowles -- I eagerly await the results!

I might try the RecTec for one of the packages.

Fire up little monster, take the skin off the dogs and do them low and slow.

Ernest, why would you take the casing off the dogs?

Smoke stays on casing, waste of good smoke.

Yeah Ernest idea is good... if you are firing up the little monster for brisket this weekend, might as well throw the kobe dogs on too!

I decided to do a Chicago style hotdog and let me tell you...it was FANTASTIC! Click image for larger version

Here I thought you were still recovering from Labor day... WOW what a spread!

            I need an invite!

I smoke my hot dogs on the egg indirect heat and make them spiral cut dogs. You can see video of how to spiral cut them @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyieI2bxyIk. Use SRF regular beef hotdogs not the kobe ones and they are amazing.

W O W ! I've got to try this, but you've given me a great idea for a gathering I'm having. Plus, every small town surrounding our metropolis has a meat market that does their own dogs & BRATS. Gotta try it. I think I will also order some of the greatest dogs made from the market that does them for Tony Packos in Toledo. Muchos thanks.

Oh, & I am definitely not going to get ANY hot dogs that are 3$ plus each & I have to cook them with no baseball game & a 7$ beer.
