Are you talking hotdogs or franks? A really good hotdog is Hebrew National and those have become ubiquitous. Here in Oklahoma and Texas we have Schwab's hotdogs, chili, etc. made right here in Oklahoma City.
If you're talking franks (big hotdogs with natural casing that look like hot links) I find the really good ones in my butchers' case. Again, my go to is Schwab's.
I've found that regional suppliers of hotdogs and franks are my best bet. Ask your butcher who they would suggest. Local butchers generally know the best local purveyors of hotdogs, sausages, franks, etc.

@Griigeezer, Check out Schweigert's Old Fashioned Coarse Ground All Beef! They are great on the Grill! From Fargo ND, Dan

I'm not sure what you mean by old fashioned, but these hot dogs are GREAT.

Summer is here! Does anybody know where I can order a GREAT Old Fashion style hotdog. Schwan's had the best DOG, but it's only "seasonal." (If anybody knows who makes Schwan's Old Fashion Hotdog, please let me know). I live on the Gulf Coast and can't find them anywhere. I tried Koegels, but there not what I am looking for.

W O W ! I've got to try this, but you've given me a great idea for a gathering I'm having. Plus, every small town surrounding our metropolis has a meat market that does their own dogs & BRATS. Gotta try it. I think I will also order some of the greatest dogs made from the market that does them for Tony Packos in Toledo. Muchos thanks.

I smoke my hot dogs on the egg indirect heat and make them spiral cut dogs. You can see video of how to spiral cut them @ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyieI2bxyIk. Use SRF regular beef hotdogs not the kobe ones and they are amazing.
