Creekstone Prime Angus Briskets On Sale

Creekstone has their briskets on sale ..... basic Prime Angus, not competition grade ..... for $99. I grabbed one for holiday dinner next weekend.

Good price for sure. I just bought a 14# SRF Black American Wagyu brisket from my local HEB for about $90 so I'm good at the moment. That would be a good holiday offering but I gotta go Prime Rib. Been dying to do one !!

I've got a 7 lb, 3 bone rib roast for Christmas Dinner. This brisket is for next weekend. And I said what the heck, and ordered a pack of the Cowboy ribeyes, too.

Competition Grade? is that hand-selected prime or better.

And the difference is shape and trim, not meat quality.

Prime brisket from Creekstone arrived today. They said it would be about 12 lbs. This sucker is 18.5 lbs of prime beefy goodness. Will be cooking it come Sunday as long as it defrosts in time ...... also got 2 Tomahawk ribeyes with it just for the heck of it.

Creekstone unboxing day is the best!

jhapka they shipped frozen. I was a bit concerned as well, but now I’m worried about whether it defrosts in time for this weekend.

Jfrosty27 That brisket is huge! They said 12 lbs. My scale says 18.5 lbs

      WOW.

It will defrost quickly if you fill the sink with water and put it in there, still vac-packed of course.

Cooking that brisket today into the early morning. Then will wrap and take to where the Hanukkah gathering is and hold in an oven at 170. Running the WSM at about 240F. The brisket, after trimming, is about 14.5 lbs.

Brisket is trimmed and I am about to salt and dry brine

Mine was due yesterday via Fedex. Never showed up. This am got an email from Creekstone that it's on truck for delivery today. End of day and did not arrive. Fedex tracking number now says can't find. I've ordered from SRF and others and am finding Fedex to be nearly always later than they say. Lots of spoiled food as a result. Don't know how the meat stores can make money with such unreliable deliveries.

Wow, crazy .... I’ve not had a problem with Creekstone or SRF being delivered on time.

FedEx has really gone down the tubes. I have had many issues with late delivery with them.

Brisket is looking good so far. Very stalled, sitting at 160F +/-. Figure that won’t change much for another couple hours.

WSM temp - 240F give or take
    Cooking time - 13 hours
    Rub - SPOG
Final temp - 198 and probe tender
Wrapped in heavy duty foil until it goes to dinner
