    Baltimore Pit Beef

    I can not get enough of this recipe from Meathead. It’s amazing, so easy and so good. Just pulled it off. Gonna slice it on the meat slicer tomorrow and will have sammies for a while!

        This was about a 2.5# bottom round. That is the cut I have used every time. The top rounds are always more steak like in shape as opposed to round roast like, at least where I am buying them. So that’s why I go for bottom round. I’ll certainly follow up tomorrow with pics after I slice it. Have a machine so they are paper thin, so good!

      Oh man, that looks great! I love making Pit Beef, so easy, so good. Steve B I use top round, typically. I buy a two pack at Costco and cook both :-)

        Good looking beef. I totally agree that Meathead’s recipe produces some fine pit beef. I’d put it up against most of the shacks on Belair Rd anytime.

          Love this recipe but can never get it as thin as I need to by hand. Would love a slicer. Looks awesome!

              Next to pastrami (for which I have this mad love affair) good old pit beef is a real favorite. Just wish my better half would allow me to buy that slicer I've had in my Amazon cart for like 6 months now
