A little prime rib on a saturday afternoon

Hey all. This my 1st prime rib roast on my Lonestar Grillz (lsg) offest. Not to big about 4lbs. bonless. The cook would have been great if not for the 3+ inches of heavy rain during the 3 1/2 hrs. it took to cook this little puppy. Aside from that all went well. My temps held pretty steady 226-248 the whole time. I dry brined as per MH advice in the recipe section and used a slightly modified version of Mrs O'learys cow crust rub (wet). The roast came out a perfect medium, my wife dosn't like anything rare. Here are tie pics. The roast, roast w'rub, the pit (notice the umbrella) best $40 I spent just starting to rain. The roast before reverse searing, after and the final pruduct

Oh man awesome job. I also like the trifecta of Tel-Tru's on the lid. If I get "something" pretty soon I really want to save up for one of their vertical offsets.

Fnatastic job Steve B! I did one nearly identical to that Thursday eve...except mine was 3.5 lbs and I used BBBR. Your slices look much more purdy than mine did. #jealous

                    Nice looking outdoor setup too!

Love the consistency of color north to south on the roast. Awesome.

I like the set up you have over the grill. How does that umbrella attach into the Pergola?

I used 2 U bolts so the umbrella can slide in. I also drilled a hole through the wood pole and rafter to put a "pin" through it to keep it in place. So its removable.
