The Day Is Soon To be Upon Us!

Yes, in ten days, April 27 it will be National Rib Eye Day! Lo and behold, how shall we at this illustrious format treat it?
Hopefully, with the deepest of carnivorous respect. ‘Tis a Saturday to those in Oconomowoc. Let us see “whas happenin” among the faithful. There is plenty of time brothers & sisters to plan & prepare.

Save for looks, with Tomahawk steaks you are paying for bone.
      They sure look pretty.

Pretty sure I still have some ribeyes from the cow that produced chuck roasts that looked like ribeye. Almost time to dig some from where I hid them in the freezer.

@FireMan Medium Rare of course is how to treat rib eyes.
          I may adjust our schedule.

I’ve got two in the freezer that I’ve been saving for a special occasion. That sounds special enough for me. It doesn’t take much to get ms Terri and I to cook up a ribeye.

I was very hesitant at first….then decided I’ll grudgingly go along for the good of the group. 🙄

So if you use the lighter fluid option, do you light it or just let it absorb? Love to see the recipe write up 🤔🥩

synodog Well, the ACTUAL correct way is to use those match-light bags, but that's much harder to add to the boil water

The ever vigilant MBMorgan is correct, I'm going to be 74 on Saturday the 27th. Why I said 75 is beyond me, it's like hastening my own demise LOL !! Regardless steaks and shrimp are on the menu !!
