    Recipe: Cranberry Sauce

    I make this every year for Thanksgiving! I do it the day before

    Ingredients
    12 oz cranberries (fresh if you can get them)
    1 Granny Smith apple - cored, peeled, diced
    1 orange - zest and juice
    1 lemon - zest and juice
    1 3/4 cup sugar
    1 cup water
    1/4 tsp nutmeg
    1/4 tsp cloves
    1/8 tsp cinnamon
    1/8 tsp ginger

    Directions
    add cranberries, sugar, water to a saucepan
    bring to boil, reduce heat to a strong simmer
    simmer for about 5 minutes until cranberry skin begins to burst
    add remaining ingredients, stir in well
    cook on simmer for 10 minutes
    Remove from heat and cool
    Put in your intended serving dish and chill
    Serve chilled

    I do something very similar but mine is relish I make it without heating. Everything goes into the food processor. I have never added cloves or ginger, interesting. I make a large batch and freeze the leftovers. It's a great spread for those turkey sandwiches.

      That looks yum, I like the vertical cutting board, things can just slide in "Oh Naturale"
