Made a batch of yeast rolls, but brushed the tops with some garlic butter before baking. Split them and added some mozzarella, then a spoonful of thawed homemade marinera. Also thawed some of my precooked wild game meatballs, and smashed them flat. Topped with more marinera and cheese then the top of the "garlic bread roll". Quick spin in the oven and you get easy gameball marinera sliders

White tail, turkey, used to have axis but the polar vortex hit them hard plus a neighbor put up a high fence and trapped what was left. There were javalinas when I was a kid but I never saw them, don't know if they are still there.

Is that a Hawaiian black?? Man that is some CLOSE curls on that whitey!!! I got the itch to go after an exotic instead of another whitetail. Just something a little different but still with an upper dental pad instead of teeth on the front.

Yes Jerod Broussard Dad found a lone Black Hawaiian on the mountain. I spotted 3 Texas Dall, singled out the largest and picked him off. 1 & 1/2 curls, 33 inches, 240lbs+. Scored a gold medal for ROE (will get certificate in mail) and will meet a SCI scorer at my Taxidermist to score as well. It will be either a gold or silver medal ram by their standards. Gotta get the meat home and in the locker to put some age on it.

Planning a marlin fishing trip with my wife in the DR for next month, this could be epic. That fish has eluded me since COVID when I put it on my list.

Hope you bring one home! Went on a Marlin trip (not really, but we were hoping) years ago with my two brother-in-laws and my niece. We were 30 miles out. Competing storms the day before cause chop to come in from two directions. Every time the boat would go into a trough, and water surrounded the boat and was probably 8-10 feet above the rail? Myself, the captain, and first mate were the only one's who weren't "feeding the fish" for 10 hours... And all we caught was Skip Jack Tuna...

Hooked into one back in 2023 off the coast of Aruba, fight it for maybe 15 minutes then he parted the line. Was so excited...then mad. Caught nothing but cuda, wahoo, and skipjack the rest of the trip, lol. dpearce
