For anyone interested,I do have a coney sauce recipe that I honed in the recipe section in the Pit - If I recall correctly, the mods made it a sticky so you won't have to search to find it.

I disagree. If I were to make Texas style with 1 inch cubes of meat there is no way that is going on a hot dog.

58limited I’m not sure if it’s changed or not, but I’ve had Hormel before and didn’t care for it. Wolf Brand is all I’ve been using for my chili dogs as long as I can remember. Their spicy No Beans is my favorite. Mr. Bones also swore by Wolf Brand chili, that’s all he ever ate as well.

CHNeal and Panhead John Ok...So Texas is the only State in the Union that has to "Qualify" their Chili with "Texas" chili. The rest of the known universe calls it Chili...lol..In Iceland they put whale meat in chili. Why? Because it's Chillie today, not Hot Tamale either, but chili. In Guam they put ...well...Guamanian things in chili. It is definitely hot in Guam...Hot chili...Dunno..Never been to Guam...They put beans in their chili in Antarctica...My friend said they were the best chili cheese dogs on the planet. I don't know if it's worth a hill of beans, but they don't call it Antarctican chili.

I won't even mention..Shhhh...White Chicken Chili.


So what is the deal Texas Chili? I think the Texans like to say it's better because someone spilled the beans....
