Being from Alabama it was always Golden Flake chips for us, because "the Bear" said so. Well, since I'm a graduate of "that cow college down the road" I tend to like Frito Lay branded chips. Seriously though, Zapp's chips are our favorite, I love their spicy crawtators. A close second is Costco's Kirkland Kettle cooked krinkle cooked chips, just plain old sea salt.

Carb. restriction prohibits me from current chip consumption. When I was a kid it was Snyder's (came in a foil bag), Wise, or Charles Chips in the can. Later in life it was Sour Cream and Cheddar Ruffles.

Lay's Lightly Salted. I like salt, always adding it to my food to my wife's chagrin...but traditional potato chips are WAY too salty for me. The Lay's Lightly Salted are perfect for me!

I remember O'Boise's from when I was a kid. They were really good, I'd never had anything like them back then.

Being raised in CA never seen Jay's. Back in the 70's there were like 4 options....original, nacho, cool ranch or sour cream & onion. Now the grocery shelves are littered with weird options. Saw a lady buying Kale chips recently and had to roll my eyes.

Original Ruffles potato with French onion dip is my go-to.

HawkerXP I know, it's really pathetic. There's also quinua chips, beet chips and the list goes on.

There you go with the kale again. Did you massage them before you ate them ????

I'm with MBMorgan . As a kid I just ate whatever chip was available, but while visiting a cousin one day, she served Charles Chips from the large can. All I wanted to do was sit on the floor with that can between my legs and eat 'em all. However, my Mother taught me better... I haven't seen them in may years, and my go to is now Utz original. I don't eat them unless it is with a meal though.

And I don't care for any flavored variety I have tried, nor do I care for kettle chips - too crunchy for me.

Old Glory you beat to the punch. Cape Cod are my go to. I'm sure you can get them nationally. At least through Amazon.

Once in while I travel to Ottawa Canada. Those Canadian (and Brits) know how to dress up chips. Lays Potato Chips in Canada often has a contest for flavors. Last year the winner was Butter Chicken - great tasting:

Another favorite I would bring back to the US was Poutine:

We made some last week for Valentine's Day. It's simple, just Ruffles or Pringles, some Almond Bark, melt, dip, cool. They are... INCREDIBLE. Next time I'm going to sprinkle some flake salt on them while the chocolate is still soft. W00T!!!
