What is your favorite Vegetable to eat with a Steak

My favorite vegetable to eat with a beautiful steak is grilled zucchini.

I like to get smaller ones that are about 7 to 9 inches in length. Slice them long ways about 1/2 inch thick, brush with a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper then grill over charcoal until they get just the smallest amount of char on them.

We do a lot of asparagus, too. I like to marinate it in olive oil, S&P and garlic, then either sear it quickly on the grill or broil it quickly in the oven. Super good stuff.

DogFaced PonySoldier I used to LOVE grilled asparagus with steak. As it turns out, asparagus is a gout trigger for me, so I don't eat it any more. :-(

asparagus with a hasselback style baked potato. And I’m not going to complain if one of Jim’s 🌽 cobs rounds out the plate.

Garlic>Onions>Mushrooms: Any/all, sauteed in butter, or tallow
Loaded Baked Tater (with other veggies included )
              Sweet Corn
              Fresh Green Beans
              Roasted Broccoli/Cauliflower Mix

Are my usual go-tos, in rough order of how frequent...

Green beans, asparagus or brussel sprouts. I don't consider a tater a vegetable.

I knew someone was going to mess with my potato. Alright, I’ll go with a fruit instead...corn on the cob 🌭

All kinds of things. Onions are vegetables right? Can’t to wrong there. Or mushrooms! Ok ok I know, they are not a vegetable but fungus is close enough in my book.

Asparagus is an obvious choice, as mentioned. I also like artichoke. Yellow squash and/or zucchini isn’t horrible. But I don’t care for broccoli.

Any type of potato will work. Baked, fried, tater tots (excellent at soaking up juices), frozen fries, etc.

But if you want a "real" vegetable I would say corn or asparagus. Fresh (not frozen or canned) peas are very good too. And sweet potatoes are always nice too.
