Like some around here I leave my Kale at the store. Never tried cooking it. However I do like what Olive Garden does with it in their Zuppa Toscana.

I sauté and put in omelets. make into a salad with goat cheese and grilled chicken and also chop and add garlic and onions and cook in sauté in a frying pan with red pepper flakes which is excellent.

I will only consume kale with a silent "k".

I like to grill it on a cedar plank: Moderate grill, toss kale in olive oil with lemon peel, cracked pepper, and sea salt. Put the plank on grill over the coals, put lid on. When the kale is wilted, throw away and eat the cedar plank.

The Mrs.makes wonderful salads, including torn or chopped kale when we have it. It also shows up in soups from time to time. We enjoy it, but no special recipes

If I am eating heavy greens i prefer lacinate and i like to braise them with onion and either bacon or Italian sausage. I brown an onion and then deglaze with a red wine or rice wine vinegar. Then I toss in my meat and braise with better than bouillon vegetable bouillion (1/2 c) I often do this in the IP and finish with 30 min pressure so they are tender.
I have had delicious kale salad, a friend makes it, but I never feel like salad when I look at kale. I'm not inspired to eat it raw unless someone puts it in front of me and I'm drunk.
I love collards, not kale but i consider them close enough to include here, because they are easy to wash and the leaves are flat so inspecting for insects is easy. I take 3 bunches of collards and wash and chop into ribbons 1 inch wide. Put in IP with a chopped onion and fill with either broth from a ham bone or chicken broth. You can add meat but I typically eat them with something i have smoked so don't consider it essential. I add a tsp of smoked paprika. No salt because the broth is salty enough. Pressure cook for 30 min.
Last recipie is a casserole of potatoes, gruyere, parmesan, and kale. Basically just layer and add as much cheese as you like. Drizzle layers with olive oil, salt and fresh cracked pepper. You can add heavy cream, canned soup, or whatever casserole magic you like. Bake covered for 1 hour at 350🔥🔥🔥❤️🐿

Use coconut oil when cooking, it makes it easier to scrape off into the trash...

I tear it and massage it with EVOO for a few minutes. It makes a huge difference.

I think it is fantastic with Kielbasa. Simmer them together and serve on a roll with mustard. I make slaw with kale too.

I'll have to try the kielbasa idea - sounds great.

                1. Sautee with butter or bacon grease and diced onions & crushed garlic. Sometimes alone if it's all I got, but better with Brussels sprouts, Swiss chard, spinach, etc.
                2. Selected tender leaves chopped onto salad - not mature leaves and definitely no stems or midribs.
                3. Blended into smoothies
                4. EDIT: and DavidNorcross reminded me that I also like it in omelets
