    Pretty Good Steak Marinade

    I used it on Tri-Tip and it was pretty good. Could use it on anything that needs a dry brine or marinade: Tri-Tip, flank steak, skirt or hangar steak, etc.

    I’m not usually a marinade fan for steak, but was looking to try something new. The outcome was pretty good. Flavorful crust for sure.
    • 1/3 cup soy sauce
    • 1 tbsp (heaping) brown sugar
    • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
    • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
    • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
    • 3 tablespoons dried basil
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
    • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
    • 1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce optional
    • 1 teaspoon fresh minced garlic
    Whisk it all together well, put the steak in a ziplock bag, dump marinade over top, stick in the fridge for 1-4 hours. Cook the steak, toss the marinade.

    Agree not a steak marinade guy either, other meats are fair game

      That said, if you’re looking for a change of pace with something like flank steak or tri-tip, this works very nicely
