My GF wants to make a bread that require lardon. I have a jowel in my freezer I want use up. Can I make that jowel into lardon or a reasonable substitute? If so how would I go about it?

Attjack the jowl has a lot of calories from fat, I'm not sure if has the amount for what you need if it has already been trimmed.
