    Whole Pork Leg/Shoulder Question

    Good Day,

    Yesterday, the grocery store had a sale on whole pork shoulders. At 99 cents per pound, I bought three of them. They weigh 20-25 lbs each. Now what do I do with them? Is it possible to cook a whole piece at once, or should I separate them into different cuts? I need some advice. Does somebody have a link I could check out?

    Made this a while ago. It was great.
    Recipe for roasted pork leg or hornado de pierna de chancho, prepared by marinating the pork in a sauce of beer, garlic, achiote, and spices.

      you can cook it whole. Is it skin on?

        Skin is on.

          Remove the skin to make cracklins. Then treat it like a normal pork butt.
