I went back and looked at a rib rub recipe I have used in the past and after what Carolyn posted, I revise my statement a bit. The rub I have used includes ground cloves and ground nutmeg, but very little since they can be overpowering. Out of the 12 Tbsp rub spice mixture, gr. cloves/nutmeg made up less than 1 tsp. So use the pumpkin spice lightly. Also, if you use sugar in your rub, do not omit it for the pumpkin spice but keep it in at the normal ratio.
Also, Allspice is nutmeg, cloves, blk pepper and cinnamon. So if you add Allspice + nutmeg and cloves - you are doubling up.
Look forward to how it comes out.

I have a macaroni and cheese recipe that has nutmeg in it. I don't use much, and the recipe has sugar to balance out that flavor. Most of the time, I leave the nutmeg out or reduce it a good bit if a recipe calls for it, and I don't think I have ever used it in a recipe without sugar. I can't hardly tolerate the aroma, much less a strong nutmeg flavor. I think that is one reason I avoided eggnog. People dumped nutmeg on top. 🤢

Some people have an aversion to cloves. I used a microscopic amount it in a rub for about 20 people. I knew it was there, but could barely taste it in the blend of many other spices. One person picked it out immediately, and for her it tastes funky.
I have the same problem with saffron, tastes like chlorine to me.
Go figure.

You’ve not asked about microwaving a brisket, whether ketchup is good on hot dogs, if turkey bacon is better then real bacon, how Miracle-Whip is the best mayo, whether we should slather our steaks in A1, why you like plant-based meats are better than the real thing, or how Julia Child is an awful cook. You are slipping on stirring the pot.

This could probably be its own post, but I’ll just leave it here..
I love pumpkin pie. It is by far my favorite pie, and one of my all time favorite deserts. In fact, my birthday cake is a Costco pumpkin pie. I simply adore it.
Anything else pumpkin spice flavored???
TRASH. GARBAGE. BLOCKED.
