it is pumpkin spice season; in all honesty I am thinking about trying pumpkin spice ribs.
I am not sure how it would go on pork ribs. Mama like pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin pie. It may be worth try.
Has anyone tried Pumpkin Spice Pork Ribs?
Any good?

bbqLuv I think a pumpkin spice margarita should be against the law, no matter the time of year. My favorite Fall fruit is pomegranate so a pomegranate margarita is the way to go.
Pumpkin pie spice is nothing more than cinnamon, ginger, cloves, allspice and nutmeg in some combination, so I think you could use the anything but the nutmeg. Not sure how that would go on a pork rib. I am not a big fan of nutmeg anyway, so I am biased against it. It might be ok.
I use cinnamon on my braised beef, but I can't remember if I used it on my ribs before. I did a search, and there are recipes with these type spices, so I say go for it.
One I looked at has cayenne, cinnamon and brown sugar with some other spices. Sounded good to me. I would try a couple ribs with some spicy sweet mix on it too. See how it turns out.
The original Pumpkin Spice Latte was nothing more than a latte with some pumpkin pie spices sprinkled on top. I don't know why people got up in arms over lack of pumpkin cuz why would you want to do that to your coffee?🤷♀️ I think they just never baked a pie and didn't understand it was just spices you use in pumpkin pie. I think it was just cinnamon, cloves and maybe nutmeg at the time, it smelled nice.

You might try creating a pumpkin spice sauce and using it on the ribs. A while back a made a cranberry flavored sauce which came out pretty good. I also have a spicy apple sauce that I haven’t made in a while. I am not a big sauce guy so I really don’t like making them.
Finster I worked at a restaurant where the chef made meatloaf. Hear me out… he lined the loaf pan with a cranberry mix. Baked it and then turned out the loaf, the cranberry glaze had caramelized a bit. Sliced to order with some sort of espagnole sauce, IIRC. It was delicious!
