    First cook at new house

Not sure where to put this since it will cross a couple of categories...

A few weeks ago I moved into my grandfathers old house and I have not had a chance to fire up the smoker until today...Yesterday I attended a hands on pork butt class at Grillbillies BBQ in Wendell N.C. so today I cooked the pork butt that was prepped in the class. I separated the money muscle and cooked it separately to see how it would come out - not disappointed at all...

HawkerXP nothing major. It picking up little tips and tricks. Probably removing the money muscle and cooking it separately is one of the things that I did different...

Nice job. I've never separated the money muscle and cooked it separately. Now I need to do that. Thanks!!

fzxdoc I never had either. I figured since I was just cooking for me and the parents to give it a try. It cooks in a lot less time so it can make a good pitmaster snack if you want to be greedy...I didn't put it on until after I pulled the butt off to rest.
