If you have the Artisan KA vs the Pro, you likely got a C hook for dough which is... suboptimal. It works, but it's not as efficient as a spiral hook. KA will tell you that the Artisan can't take a spiral hook, that the motor isn't strong enough. This is not true if you're doing one loaf of bread (about 1000g or so of dough).
Wow, the pics look great. My wife has been looking as we don't have one and I looked around Christmas and there were too many choices. So I asked her was there one you had your eye on and of course "No" was the reply.
My wife is really frugal (cheap) so she didn't want to pull the trigger (but I can) so any recommendations on what you are using would be appreciated.

Redwng This is the one I have. Not sure if it’s the exact color. Also it was on sale, which I understand they do sales pretty often. I think I paid around $250.
Wow - cranking out some great stuff there! We have an old white Kitchenaid tilt stand mixer that my mother in law gave us years ago because she didn’t use it anymore, and I use it much more than my wife. Wish it was black and toyed with painting it but that’s too much trouble!
I’ve got the metal grinder attachment, and a slicer/grater. Sees more use with a dough hook than anything though…

I am loving mine too. I have not used it as much as you have though. I ran the meat grinder the other day to render a bunch of fat for tallow and it worked great. Much easier than my hand crank meat grinder.
I want to try the dough and pasta thing next. Given what you have displayed here, I can't wait! Looks awesome.
Not wanting to hijack this thread but this pasta recipe is great IMO. I'm making some today. This is from ATK Cooks Country. I use the KA Pasta Attachment though.

Good stuff there Steve! I don't use mine nearly as much as I should. I've been thinking of getting the shredder-grater-slicer attachments to grate cheese and such. This is the nudge I need.
