If you could abolish one topping from ever being on your pie again for the rest of your life what would it be? If you hate a few things, pick your most hated.
For space I could only include the more common pizza toppings, not gourmet stuff or chicken pizza stuff. I'm not counting cheese & sauce as a topping, so if you're a no-sauce or no-cheese person, well then you ain't even eatin' a real pizza anyway!

I agree, but there was a place in Baltimore (Gil's) that does a meat sauce pie and it's one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Basically the ground beef is cooked into the sauce.
This should be fun, but I think I know the winner. I mean loser. I mean least popular.
I voted for, or is it against, pineapple, but could easily add green bell peppers. Now, poblano or Anaheim peppers are excellent on a pizza, especially if you go with chorizo, a Mexican or nacho cheese blend, onions, tomato slices and jalapenos with a garnish of cotija. Ai, ai, ai!!!

The first time was when all the other good pizza was eaten before the pineapple pizza (ya think? 😂) was eaten. I tried it because I wanted more. I expect a certain flavor to pizza and pineapple doesn’t fit that expectation for me. Short of rewiring my brain of that expectation I just steer clear.
I’m with you. I voted pineapple. Only bc I’d never seek it out. However, if someone handed me a slice of ham and pineapple, id think "hmm, bit weird" but I’d eat it. And it’s probably delicious.
Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
It’s fun to rag on pineapple, but it’s okay. The problem with it is that it doesn’t make a pizza better, it just makes it different. It makes it into a pizza that I’m never in the mood for.
Mom used to make those stuffed bell peppers for dinner once in a while. Second worse thing to come out her kitchen, right behind her tuna casserole attempts.
About Me
My name is Josh, not Joey (surprise), and I reside in Central Ohio. I have been grilling since I could drive, and smoking for around 15 years. Over the past couple of years I have gotten more into just cooking, and really enjoy sous vide and the flat top. I find myself experimenting with different foods and new ways of cooking as an outlet to work stress. I use every piece of equipment I own regularly, with the exception of the electric smoker. That only gets brought out on occasion to make jerky.
My favorite beverage is bourbon. I typically have at least 8-10 bottles open at any given time. While I have favorites, I enjoy sampling new and different varieties.
I cannot tolerate olives. Not sure if it's an allergy thing or I just hate them, but it's pretty much instant vomit reflex if I taste them. Back in the day my mom tried picking them off without telling me, but stopped after both times triggered the vomit reaction - first bite reflex, even from the residue.
I've tried pineapple on pizza. Not my style, but at least there was no vomit involved...
Retired, living in Western Mass. Enjoy music, cooking and my family.
Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex, SnS and a Smokey Joe. The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
I would never order it but my old boss loved it and made me try it. Ham and pineapple Hawaiian pizza. Was actually pretty good. But again, I like other toppings much better so I never order it.
I'm not a fan of pineapple on pizza mostly because it's too sweet and a little one note. Fruit is fine, but the drained canned pineapple is like having candy on pizza.
I've had mango though and that works better for me
the 3D shape means it burns on top, undercooks on the bottom and interferes with the crust cooking. Then when all is said and done it just falls off anyway when you pick up the slice.
oh and I like broccoli when it’s not messing up the pizza.
It’s tough to get right, but a good broccoli and feta cheese pizza is great. You have to break down the broccoli into little chunks - almost as if you’re chopping it.
