    Tasty Bugs

Ate my share of them when I was in Thailand. Washing down with beer helps...

Drinking a few beers beforehand probably helps, too.

I would try them if offered by someone who know which to eat and how to prepare them. Just another source of protein to me.

Who’s kiddin who here? I have no interest in cultivating a taste for insect cuisine. If I was forced to maybe, but I sure would look long & hard fer some food I’m familiar with. Save the planet, gimme a break. Humane treatment, ya ever step on a bug, even by accident? Ah, the aroma wafting in the air from bug soup, yes. Can you imagine grillin those little buggers med rare. Gives a whole different meaning to pink inside, like yellow inside or orange. And then there is the crust or bark, oh yeah. Can you eat just one? Mm mm good!

I was thinking, that’s one cultural tradition I don’t want to appropriate.

I am completely okay with not intentionally eating insects. The reason for that doesn't matter.

Well, you know what they say. The only thing worse than finding a worm in your apple is half a worm.

After reading the article logic concludes that if, instead of eating steak, we disdained it as 'poor man's diet' and extolled the virtues of insects, then the world would consider insects a status meal and the price of steak would drop to that of meal worms, which would then be selling for $10 a pound. I don't know about the rest of you, but I can pretend to like insects long enough for that to take place.
