I decided to weigh a couple of my purchases today from HEB. I figured Michael_in_TX underweight meat 👆 was an anomaly, so I’m here to salvage their reputation. 🤓
My 3 lb bag of onions was almost 1/3 lb OVER……..
My package of chicken breasts was also a little over the posted weight……
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

This topic surprised me a little, but then again didn't...
It --surprised me-- because EVERY time I've weighed my meat purchases they've been spot-on, or occasionally a touch over (in my favor).
--Didn't surprise me-- because I've often felt the need to weigh my stuff in the first place, because it's so hard to trust people whom we should trust when money is involved.
Sad that everyday people (purveyors, suppliers) are often against other everyday people (us, regular Joes buying meat for tomorrow's dinner) in such ways. Surely it's the giant conglomerates behind the labels spurring the casual dishonesty, and not regular Joe purveyors.

I am not trying to defend your grocery stores, but have you considered that grocery store scales are periodically certified for accuracy and your home scale is not? Just saying!
Just another reason to hate Walmart. This guy started out exposing Walmart and others, Kroger included, intentionally selling consumers underweight products. He’s organized a nationwide boycott of Walmart from yesterday, August 28 thru September 3rd. This video should make you very angry!
